Be sure to check out the new tab, “My Words” for sermons, columns, letters, and inspirational messages. I hope you enjoy!
I think that I always learn something from Rabbi Marc Rosenstein’s excellent columns on the URJ’s Ten Minutes of Torah daily e-mail. This one is especially good, even for him.
I’m now adding my popular guides to the weekly Torah portion (parshat ha-shavuah) and the accompanying weekly reading from the Prophets (Haftarah). From now on, I’ll be uploading them to the new tab on this website. I hope you’ll take a look and find them as enjoyable and helpful as I do writing them! Happy Learning!
I’ve just added this week’s portion, Va-Yeira. Happy learning!
I am now serving as a hospital chaplain for SSM Health Care Saint Louis, home based at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. I also serve as a chaplain for Pathways Community Hospice, Chesterfield MO, and starting this October, for Ranken Jordan, a Pediatric Specialty Hospital.
I serve Congregation B’nai Sholom, Quincy, IL on a bi-weekly basis and teach religious school at Central Reform Congregation on Wednesday afternoons and Shabbat mornings.
I bring an open and creative approach to the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony.
I am eager to work with you and your partner to craft your wedding so that it will be in keeping with Jewish tradition, yet uniquely yours such that your family and guests will treasure the memories for a lifetime. I work with couples of all kinds and I am understanding and sensitive to additional considerations for interfaith relationships.
I’m also available for other life-cycle events such as baby namings and brit milah (circumcision), anniversary blessings, funerals, and unveilings.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to take the next steps on your spiritual journey, as each of you help me take the next steps on mine.
